It will include a combination of stretching, jumping rope, calisthenics and body-weight exercises. This will help prevent the risk of injury and mentally prepare you for the boxing drills that's administered for the duration of the class. I will teach you the basic boxing stance—orthodox or southpaw, proper punch mechanics, correct footwork position and defensive strategies, that will help you avoid your opponent's punching and put you in position to deliver your own in sparring or fight competition. In addition to learning how to shadow box, practicing boxing mittwork drills and correctly hitting the heavy bag, the double end bag and speed bag, there will be some interval strength training and intense core workouts to enhance your overall boxing skills and abilities. Boxing gloves are provided for the class if you don't own a pair yet. So the only investment you have to make is your time and price of the class. No boxing gym is necessary for this 45 minute at-home workout will have you utilizing your full body with every move, in every boxing class by throwing four basic punches (jab, cross, hook and uppercut) in combinations that will be instructed by New York City boxing coach, Ralph Gilmore. This empowering workout experience will benefit both mind and body, while increasing your stamina, core strength, muscle explosiveness and cardio level. The workouts will be primarily focused on specific movements, but it'll be spontaneous. It'll also be idea for weight loss. The online boxing classes will be challenging, fun and different every time! All fitness levels are welcome. No equipment required, a mat and light hand weights are recommended.
